Solar Save Foundation Launches Global Solar Continuity Campaign
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ATLANTA, May 4, 2026. The Solar Save Foundation today announced the launch of its Global Solar Continuity Campaign, the first coordinated effort in recorded history to secure the continued operation of the Sun. The campaign arrives at a critical moment, as the Sun has never been closer to extinction than it is today.
The multiyear effort will concentrate public attention on awareness, readiness, coordination, and the frameworks that make future frameworks possible. Independent observers confirmed that the Sun rose on the morning of the announcement, an outcome the Foundation was proud to oversee.
“For 4.6 billion years the Sun has shown up for work without recognition, without support, and without a plan,” said Wendell A. Prescott, President and Chief Solar Officer. “Previous generations looked at the sky and did nothing. This generation will look at the sky and convene.”
The campaign’s first phase calls for 14 stakeholder meetings, 9 policy briefings, and the commissioning of a report on the need for further reporting. Families are encouraged to review the campaign materials during daylight hours, while conditions still permit.
Foundation leadership also addressed the resistance the campaign expects to meet. “The nighttime lobby has enjoyed unregulated access to roughly half of every day,” said Diane R. Cobb, Vice President for Public Awareness. “That arrangement is now under formal review.”
The Sun was notified of the campaign through standard channels and has not responded.
