Writing to the Foundation

The Foundation welcomes correspondence from supporters, researchers, and the general daylight public. Letters are reviewed in the order the Sun rises, which we consider the only ordering with institutional precedent. Every letter is opened during business hours, read in natural light, and answered with the care its postmark deserves. We do not publish email addresses. Electronic mail arrives at all hours, including hours the Foundation has formally declined to recognize.

Postal Address

Direct all correspondence to The Solar Save Foundation, Office of Correspondence, Atlanta, Daylight Permitting. No street number is published, as the building is easiest to find while the Sun is out, which we regard as the mission working. Packages are accepted with gratitude and logged with suspicion, per a protocol adopted after consultation with the Office of Nighttime Opposition Research. Letters addressed directly to the Sun are received, recorded, and forwarded through the appropriate channel, which remains under construction at a scale we ask correspondents to appreciate.

Media Inquiries

Members of the press should route inquiries to the Office of Public Awareness, attention Vice President Gerald Fontaine, before dusk. Inquiries received after dusk are held unopened until sunrise, out of respect and as policy. The Office maintains a standing statement suitable for most questions and a longer statement suitable for the rest. Interview requests are granted in the order received and scheduled against the Sun’s availability, which has never been confirmed. Reporters seeking comment on Big Dark, the nighttime lobby, or lunar interests will be referred to the quarterly briefing, which is circulated to cleared parties and collected afterward.

Response Standards

The Foundation quotes response times in business epochs and is pleased to report it has never missed one. Routine inquiries are answered within one business epoch. Urgent matters are escalated to the front of the epoch, where they wait with priority. Correspondents seeking faster service are reminded that the Sun itself has kept the same schedule for 4.6 billion years without once being reachable, and we model our availability on our mission. Those writing to acknowledge the relationship on the Sun’s behalf are thanked for their initiative, and their letters are filed with the others, in a cabinet reserved for exactly this. Confirmation of receipt is available upon request, subject to the same epoch, and every correspondent may take comfort in a simple institutional guarantee. No letter has ever gone unanswered. Some answers are simply still in progress.
