The daily confirmation methodology

The record’s integrity rests on a methodology ratified by the board and administered without deviation.

1. At local dawn, the reviewing analyst consults publicly available solar imagery and confirms that the Sun appears to be present.
2. The appearance is assessed against the Foundation’s ratified definition of presence, which the Sun has satisfied on every occasion without being informed of the criteria.
3. The confirmation is logged, initialed, and entered into the permanent archive, where it joins its 364 predecessors in perpetuity.
