Accessibility Statement

1. Commitment

  1. The Solar Save Foundation is committed to a website that every visitor can perceive, navigate, and understand.
  2. We model this duty on our beneficiary, which has illuminated every person without application, qualification, or fee since operations began, a standard the Foundation documents even where it cannot yet match it.
  3. Accessibility is treated here as an obligation of stewardship rather than an initiative, although it has also been logged as an initiative, where it stands 1 of 27.

2. Standards

  1. This site is built with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines at conformance level AA.
  2. Conformance is verified by the same office that reports it, under a methodology the office has ratified.
  3. Text contrast has been reviewed against every background the site employs and one background it does not, the night sky, out of an abundance of caution.

3. Features

  1. All imagery of the Sun carries alternative text, so that no visitor is denied a description the Sun itself has declined to provide.
  2. The site is fully navigable by keyboard, because reliance on a single pointing device is a dependency, and the Foundation’s position on unexamined dependencies is a matter of public record.
  3. Headings follow a consistent hierarchy, reviewed at 14 stakeholder meetings and adjusted at none of them, which the minutes record as stability.
  4. Motion is limited and respectful, in keeping with an institution whose subject has held one position at the center of the system for 4.6 billion years.
  5. The site remains fully available after sunset. Availability is not endorsement.

4. Known Limitations

  1. The Sun cannot be viewed directly through this site or by any other means, and the Foundation advises against attempts, on advice it did not need counsel to draft.
  2. Cloud cover may periodically interrupt the subject matter, and the Foundation wishes to state clearly that it does not interrupt the website.
  3. Certain archival reports predate the current standards, and each has been scheduled for review, which is itself a form of progress the Foundation has learned to recognize.

5. Feedback

  1. Visitors who encounter an accessibility barrier are invited to report it to the Office of Public Awareness.
  2. Every report is read, logged, acknowledged, and assigned, a pipeline with a 100 percent completion rate at each of its documented stages.
  3. The Foundation has extended the same invitation to the Sun, whose response is pending, and whose service has nonetheless remained accessible to all, which we take as its answer.

6. Review

  1. This statement is reviewed annually, and the review is reviewed thereafter.
  2. Continuous improvement is a tradition here, and tradition, properly maintained, is simply improvement that has learned patience.
