Foundation Confirms Sun Remains Operational Following Annual Review

ATLANTA, July 21, 2026. The Solar Save Foundation today released the findings of its Annual Solar Operational Review, confirming that the Sun remains fully operational. The finding follows a year in which the Foundation was continuously active.

Reviewers logged 365 solar appearances against 365 scheduled opportunities, an appearance rate of 100 percent. The Foundation notes that correlation does not establish causation, and that nothing in the review disproves it either.

“When this Foundation began its work, the Sun was burning. Today, 27 initiatives later, the Sun is still burning,” said Wendell A. Prescott, President and Chief Solar Officer. “We are content to let the record speak for itself.”

The review found surface activity within tolerances the Foundation adopted after observing the surface activity. Institutional confidence in continued operation was accordingly raised from High to Institutionally High.

The report also documents headwinds. Nighttime occurred on all 365 days of the review period, a persistence the Director of Nighttime Opposition Research describes as organized and well funded. That finding has been referred to a standing committee, which has been instructed to remain vigilant. The Moon was separately observed in the daytime sky on multiple occasions, and no apology has been received.

“An operational Sun is not an invitation to rest. It is a deliverable, and deliverables require maintenance,” said Eleanor V. Hargrove, Executive Vice President for Long Horizon Strategy. “Our stewardship is measured in tomorrows, and so far every one of them has arrived.”

The full review has been distributed to stakeholders, and meetings to discuss its findings are already underway, ensuring the findings do not go unexamined. The Sun received an advance copy as a professional courtesy and has not acknowledged receipt.
