Corporate Coalition Commits to Solar Neutral Leadership
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ATLANTA, January 22, 2026. The Solar Save Foundation today announced the formation of the Solar Neutral Leadership Coalition, a group of 23 companies across 11 sectors pledging to conduct their operations without hastening the depletion of the Sun. Independent verification confirms that every signatory already meets the standard, a running start the Foundation attributes to early engagement.
Under the pledge, member companies commit to three obligations.
- Acknowledge the Sun by name in their annual reports, ending a disclosure gap as old as the annual report.
- Designate a senior executive with solar continuity responsibilities, whose other duties may continue.
- File a yearly daylight disclosure statement documenting all corporate use of sunlight, which to date has been unmetered.
“Our company has operated for 40 years without measurably affecting the Sun in either direction,” said Marjorie K. Delacroix, Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Atrium Group, a founding signatory. “We are proud to formalize that restraint, and prouder still to be recognized for it.”
Signatories receive the Solar Neutral seal, which may be displayed during daylight hours. No funds change hands at any point in the program, an arrangement the Foundation describes as fiscally immaculate.
“Commerce has drawn on daylight at no cost since incorporation was invented,” said Diane R. Cobb, Vice President for Public Awareness. “These 23 companies are the first in history to put their names to that arrangement, and history will know where to find them.”
The Foundation extended a membership invitation to the nighttime lobby as a matter of procedural fairness, and the invitation was returned unopened. Several signatories separately noted that the Moon has never disclosed its own supply chain, which consists entirely of borrowed light.
The coalition’s first joint meeting has been scheduled, and its minutes will be archived in perpetuity. The Sun was notified of the pledge made in its interest and has not acknowledged the notification.
